Lillie Langtry, Edward, Prince of Wales, and Princess Alexandra of Denmark - Milner Field, 1882

In 1882 the then Prince and Princess of Wales stayed at Milner Field. After dinner, the famous actress Lillie Langtry was invited round too. 

Lillie Langtry was the mistress of the Prince of Wales and she was appearing in Bradford at the time and staying at a central Bradford hotel. The Prince and Princess of Wales waved at her on a balcony at the hotel also. 

The Prince of Wales was in the area to officially open the Bradford Technical College. It was a great coup for Titus Salt Junior to have them staying at Milner Field. They also planted a commemorative tree in the Milner Field grounds.
